Why Be a Member

The mission of the Northwest Wilderness Society is to protect this special place in its natural state and to make it accessible for the camp months of July and August.  Your membership provides valuable support to NWWS. Annual memberships run by the calendar year, and are approved annually prior to the AGM.

2024 Camping Fees

Every adult, 18 and over, who camps for more than three nights must apply to become a Society Member. Persons under the age of 18 not accompanied by an adult are not permitted to camp at Wilderness Camp.

How to pay membership fees or donate to NWSS

Every adult, 18 and over, who camps for more than three nights must apply to become a Society Member. The annual fee is $20 and allows members to camp and have a voice. New members can pay their initial membership fee at Wilderness Camp by cash or e-transfer.  Membership is subject to approval by the board at the annual general meeting.

Renewal fees can be made either at camp or at anytime during the year by e-transfer.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote the principles and values of Unitarianism, and to strengthen the bonds among Unitarians, their families and friends, by experiencing community in a wilderness setting.
